Tiles

Yesterday was a pleasant surprise, our tile selection day!
We were told upon booking that we only had up to 3 hours, which we laughed at knowing we didn't need that long, and sure enough, after 45 mins we were done!

Mind you, with matching tiles in laundry, en-suite and bathroom and then only the front porch to choose it was easy.

After the very limited choices from Allworth with everything else, we were pleasantly surprised with their tile supplier, we had a really good choice to choose from, and a lovely consultant who helped us a great deal!

Now just to wait until the sparky gets in touch to do our Electrical plan, and to keep waiting until we hear from council. With 7 more business days before Christmas it will be interesting to see if we get approval now or late Jan!

Colours!

Sorted our colours out today, in and out within 2 hours, and only spent about an extra $800 on a fancier shower head, 2 feature walls and some nicer taps. No complaints!
A mixture of wild rocks, seamist, silver, greys, browns, donkeys, kid leather and whites!

Now just tiles to choose and electrical and keep waiting for council!

Final Plan adjustments made!

Today we decided to head to the display village at Woongarah where they have just built the altona entertainer to confirm our final changes. This includes making the laundry sightly larger and adding 2 x CSD in the WIR and ensuite.

We also looked at our block and it must be close to registering, all works are complete and the next stage is ready for release!!

Now the waiting game!!!!

Our 4 bedroom, Allworth Homes, Altona Media Entertainer

After many weekends looking through display villages, crunching numbers, falling in love with homes we couldnt fit or afford, we discovered the Altona by Allworth Homes.

For us the layout was perfect, with very minor changes being made. We are having a single garage door, an extra metre of depth in the garage, larger ensuite and bathroom and some nicer fittings.

We have received our tender on June 29th and accepted and paid our deposit on August 17th.

The original plans -

Our plans came through on September 29 and apart from a couple of changes we will be adding, they are pretty much spot on

Now just the waiting game for our block to register so we can submit to council!

Land Purchase - March 2013

After being sick of spending too much cash, renting in Sydney, and after a day of fishing in the sun at Lake Macquarie, I knew it was time for a change from the hustle and bustle of inner city Earlwood.

After 3 months of searching for land, waiting for agents to call back and finding blocks of land so steep we couldn't walk up them, we finally found Aquilo at Bonnells Bay.

Our 695m2 of land is due to register in November and we can wait!
