Super exciting day today - we have commenced site works!
Felt like today was never going to come. We were lucky to get some happy snaps from our neighbour who is building 4 doors down. Im still waiting on Allworth to let me know they have started..
Anyway, here are a few pics. Heading up on Saturday and cant wait to see it in person!
Wwhhoo, congrats,,very exciting isnt it,,and u havnt even got a loo yet lol,,they really dont let u know,,we were on holidays, and we got a phone call from the ss,saying that the piering was due to b done on the friday, we got the call the day before,,so there was no phone call saying, site excavation or fencing up,,so we came back early to check the measurements and depths of piering being done,,,,,,all systems go now for u guys,,enjoy
ReplyDeleteCongrats mate..
ReplyDeleteGot a call today, site is all cut, piers are being done tomorrow, plumbing Friday and slab mid next week!
ReplyDeleteTheyre not mucking about,,yeah they normally let u know about piering, just so that u can go watch and check if they are actually digging as deep as they say they were going to,,,maybe if they over quoted u, like they generally do,,then u will get a credit back yay,,,
ReplyDeletedepends on tender, if you have complete fixed price site cost, you have get nothing, mine fixed as well, no one informed me when they did piering.
ReplyDeleteThey never do fixed site cost,,cause untill they start digging they have no idea whats under there,,they always put in provisional for piering,,,and for m or h soil,,was urs fixed for everything in ur tender and quote cameron?
ReplyDeleteI got a complete fixed except rock excavation, i have no piering allowance and no provisional cost.
ReplyDeleteIf you ring karren chisholm sales, she can tell you, we have two types of tender, one is complete fixed and another one is fixed.
Wy would one be like that, and others b different,,what difference is there,,ur block and say mine? were u given the option, or did they just do it that way? we will b getting a credit on our piering,,,,,oh u have just opened pandoras box lol
ReplyDeletecomplete fixed: If you got 150lm of piering, you have nothing to pay, fixed plumbing, connecting sewer, power.etc, soil removal. and all fixed
ReplyDeleteNormal tender: mentioned allowance for piering. example tender say 65lm, if you hit 80lm, you have to pay 15lm cost
if its gone only 30lm, you get a credit of 35lm cost.. undestand?
Ours is fixed apart from hitting rock or piers. We have been allowed 65lm. Will find out today if we get a credit or pay more!

ReplyDeleteSend me your email I'd, I can share my tender for you, then you can find what I have.. Chris you too
So did u ask for complete fix at time of quoting? I didnt know u could do that,,so does that mean u pay more up front than a normal tmnder,,ie just so they cover all theyre unknown cost ,,ie piering and sewers, ,
ReplyDeleteChris,,mine is all fixed besides piering and soil classification,,did u know u could get even those things fixed as well. ?like cameron did, ,fingers crossed o get a credit back
ReplyDeleteYes you are rite, can't say very expensive upfront, mine went to 96.4m piering depth,H1 soil and lots and lots of fill in my block.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I choose ask them to fixed when I apply tender.
Ok
