Today we received our final invoice - all as expected with the variations received except for extra scaffolding needed which added a further $1200.
We also had our handover date/PCI confirmed for June 17th, which is a bit annoying that it has been pushed back, but apparently it is our glass splashback that is delaying it..
We are still aiming for a move in date of June 27th, but leaves it very tight to get flooring, electrical and driveway sorted!
Let the final 2 week count down begin!

ReplyDeleteHi, I'm looking at building with allworth and we are tossing up between a harmony entertainer and the altona entertainer if you don't mind me asking did you pay more or less than the one on display at woongarrah i believe that was about $181000. Thanks

ReplyDeleteWe have made a few changes to what is on display there including higher ceilings, ceaser stone benches in the kitchen as well as increasing the size of the bathrooms to go out to the eaves. We also added the alfresco
We have a bit of slope on ours, so we copped a fair bit more in site costs, which also included having to make the garage bigger as well as a drop edge beam.
All up with our extras and site costs we added about $80k to the base price. Thats without flooring and driveway as we are doing this after handover
The good thing is that their upgrades seem to be quiet reasonable!

ReplyDeleteThanks, we are looking at a lot out the back of Maitland in Largs it has a bit of a slope as well so we figured that will cost us a bit more. Just trying to get an idea of everything before we make a decision. Thanks again
ReplyDeleteI think the general rule of thumb is to budget $100k over base and you should get an idea of spend. Let me know if you have any other questions!

ReplyDeleteYeah really close now! Spent all last week packing and will be doing more this weekend. We've booked our removalists for July 5, so plenty of time for flooring, driveway and electrical. Let's hope that rain clears by the 19th!
